What is Film432 ?
Film432 was born in the 1990’s at Roger Schulte’s studio in the meat packing district an inexpensive place to rent. From the 3rd floor at 17 Little west 12th street one could gaze out the window at the abandoned strip of railroad tracks (now the Highline) and see the sunset over the hudson. Down below the meat packing plants shared streets with gender queers of the evening. In the beginning nothing was around except for a bagel place, a spanish restaurant and Florant all since closed. In just 3 sweet years the smell of rotting meat became too popular and rents skyrocketed, so we shut down the studio and began 1-800-FILM432.

1-888-film-432 catered to independent filmmakers dashing around the city with a handful of quarters. One call could get them what they needed!! The idea came from spirit of referring one another we had experienced in those glorious days. When an editing machine was booked or an editor was busy we would grab the phone and pass on the job.
The concept is simple, 4...3...2......BEEP, is the last part of the academy countdown before your picture starts and is where you begin to finish your film! That was before the world was hooked on cellphones and the newest pod, pad or berry. In this brave new world we have relaunched the idea bigger and better at a time when media is going through one of the most exciting and scary times I have witnessed. I ask those who stumble upon this page to spread the word!
