A feature-length non-fiction film exploring the town of Gibsonton, Florida, the retirement and off-season home for hundreds of carnival and circus show people. The film presents the "life histories" of this special group of senior citizens who remember the "good old days" when the art of performing in carnivals, side-shows and the circus was at its peak.

Instead of working, however, Dean spends his time searching for his Argentine lover Pablo (Antonio Sabato, Jr.), who went out one night for cigarettes and never came back. "Hes an emotional serial killer," says Dean.
Based on a novel by James Robert Baker, Testosterone examines the fine line between brilliance and obsession. Exploring the opposite of romantic fixation, the films tough, scraggy style jams us up against the emotional contradictions of sexual dependency and testosterone-fuelled bravura.

Set against the backdrop of a land in turmoil and transition, this inspiring film reveals the devastating stories behind a reproductive health crisis essentially neglected by the Western media and provides a rare glimpse into the heart of humanity through the quiet deeds.
